Press and public relations

The freedom of the press guaranteed by the German constitution is one of the outstanding features of a democratic constitutional state. Making police actions transparent and understandable is the aim of our communication: press and public relations work at Paderborn Police.

At regular intervals, the Paderborn district police authority honors the courageous and exemplary behaviour of people in the district who have made a special effort to protect life, health, property or the rule of law in a dangerous situation or during a criminal offence.

Time and again, we find that facts are not known to the public or that their interpretation leads to discussions and misunderstandings.
